Research interests

Dr Amanda Tauber is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow and Senior Teaching Fellow at Bond University, with a background in Biomedical Sciences and a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry. Her doctoral research centred on the design and synthesis of selective ARTD8 inhibitors, contributing significantly to the understanding of cancer metastasis. Amanda is also at the forefront of educational innovation, particularly in the development of virtual laboratories to enhance student engagement in chemistry and biosciences. Currently, she serves as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow for the Activating Primary Care COPD Patients in the context of Multimorbidity (APCOM) Trial. This study, funded by the Australian Government’s Medical Research Future Fund, aims to improve self-care knowledge and skills among patients with COPD and other multimorbidities in general practice, with a focus on personalised education delivered by practice nurses.
