The mission of the Physiotherapy Research Group is to build the health of our communities by developing practical strategies & solutions through pragmatic physiotherapy & health research in real-world settings.

Outline of current projects underway: 

• Extended reality in Paediatric Sleep Medicine
• Airway Clearance techniques during an acute exacerbation of bronchiectasis
• Establishing benchmarks for diverse, person-centred simulated participant programs and culturally sensitive simulated participant practice

Currently Collaborating with The Queensland Children's Hospital, Department of Paediatric Respiratory & Sleep Medicine, Child Health Research Centre, The University of Queensland, South Brisbane, Queensland Brain Institute, The University of Queensland, Saint Lucia, Australia  

• Exploring the use of extended reality within Sleep Health and Medicine

 Currently collaborating with Deadly Descendants  

• Undertaking an Australian Government Inclusive Communities Grant providing LEGO-based therapeutic intervention to build connection, community, social skills, and resilience for young people who have or are experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, or trauma.
