Dr Mark Morgan, professor of General Practice at Bond University in Queensland and chair of the RACGP Expert Committee for Quality Care, said the safety and efficacy of the remedies were yet to be established, but said they appeared to be products of confusion and public anxiety.

 

 

 

"If health claims are being made, the product should be subject to TGA regulation and advertising standards," he said.
