Daryl McPhee will lead us through the interactive workshop that aims to shape the difference between recreational fishing data purely for compliance through catch and effort, to data that benefits the sector as a whole. Data that supports good fisheries decisions, citizen science for good stewardship outcomes and to help improve and uphold social licensing. The session will focus on shaping guiding principles for fisher-led data collection, identifying and understanding the most useful types of information for both individuals and organisations, and exploring what data participants are comfortable sharing. Be part of the session to help shape how fisher-led data that works for you.
