This interactive eWorkshop will enable participants to spot a dodgy clinical guideline, understand the guideline writing process from an insider’s perspective and get to grips with GRADE.
Content
In part 1, we will expose the underbelly of a clinical guideline together and explore how guidelines can drive low value care.
In part 2, hear from the GP who was charged with leading the last edition of the RACGP Red Book and the controversial new Smoking Cessation guide. Have a go at being part of an Expert Advisory Group to grapple with the ins and outs of a guideline decision. In part 3, discover how guidelines make the GRADE by assigning the strength and certainty of an evidence-based recommendation.
