I attended as an invited presenter and panellist for “State of XR: Games, Films, and Hybrid Practice”, chaired by the Queensland XR Hub. My session focused on the evolving language of XR, the role of universities in supporting emerging creative technologies, and pathways for policy and sector development, drawing on Bond’s work in virtual production, simulation, games research, and my own work on international standards for (ISO/IEC). The event brought together leading creators, studios, researchers, and technologists from across Australia to explore the future of immersive games, virtual production, and XR storytelling. The Queensland XR Hub’ highlighted the depth of creative talent across the sector and acknowledged the contribution from Bond University alongside industry leaders such as Screen Queensland, PlaySide Studios, PHORIA, Mod, T&DA, QUT Reality Labs, and HTC VIVE.| Period | 26 Nov 2025 |
