$623.47 consultancy fee from from Tsinghua University.In response to global educational challenges and opportunities presented by the age of internet, virtual interconnectivity, and most recently the global pandemic, the Global MOOC Conference aims to bring together world-leading universities and online education platforms across all geographical regions at this unprecedented time. With the theme “Learning Revolution and Higher Education Transformation”. This year, the conference was held both virtually and physically at the Tsinghua University in Beijing China in association with the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education. Tsinghua University is ranked 20th in the World University Rankings for 2021 and 1st in Asia. The conference received one million delegate registrations from more than 20,000 institutions worldwide, both the UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Education and Minister of Education, People’s Republic of China where delegates.
My role in the conference was an 8-minute keynote as part of Theme2: “Higher Education Transformation” with Virtual Simulation. This event was co-organised by the ilab-x Virtual Reality Experiment Teaching Innovation Alliance. The presentation focused on how we have moved from situated teaching to augmented reality for teaching construction students at Bond University.
