Technology-enhanced learning is being increasingly incorporated within tertiary programs to enhance teaching and supplement learning. These innovative approaches can be exciting for students, but does leave educators with a wide, and potentially overwhelming, variety of options to choose from when seeking to modernise sessions or concepts with educational technology. This presentation outlines a diverse range of innovative technologies, including virtual and augmented reality, which can be employed to enhance the student individualised learning experience. The second half of the presentation will then provide an overview of key research findings into the real-world effectiveness of these interventions, as well as the risks and benefits when integrating these technologies within a modern curriculum.
