It's tempting to assume students know how to use Gen-AI well.



Most are comfortable with it, but comfort is not the same as capability, and capability is not the same as conscientiousness.



This cross-Faculty (HSM and BBS) professional development session in O'Week (Wednesday, 13th May 1-2pm, Gregor Heiner Theatre) will equip educators with the confidence and tools to communicate clearly with students about Gen-AI use in their subject from the first forum.

This session moves beyond policy recitation to help you find your own voice on Gen-AI; one that is honest about risk, grounded in professional values, and genuinely empowering for students. You'll leave knowing exactly how to talk to your subject's permissibility slide and ready to have that conversation with students in Week 1.
