Description
The Short Courses presentation, part of the FSD Away-Day Workshop held on 4 December 2019, was led by Jonathan Ping, Marilyn Mitchell, and Danny O’Hare. The workshop aimed to delve into the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) and explore how universities can create short courses at their discretion. A key focus was ensuring that any short courses developed could be accumulated to form traditional awards.During the workshop, participants engaged in a 25-minute group activity designed to enhance their understanding of short courses. They worked on creating proposals for FSD (Building Information Modelling) short courses tailored to different educational levels, including industry/masters, undergraduate, and high school. Each group was tasked with summarizing their discussions and proposals in a one-minute presentation per table.
The session concluded with each group sharing their findings and returning their completed proposal forms. The presenters thanked everyone for their participation and contributions, emphasizing the importance of these proposals in shaping future educational offerings.
