BBS L&T PDW - Getting Started with Case Teaching

Raybould, M. (Supervisor)

Activity: Professional Development, Mentorship, Supervision and Other ActivitiesInternal Professional Development

Description

Please join us for this week’s BBS L&T PDW. Case teaching is a BBS strategic priority that will leverage our small class sizes and our leadership of the Australian Business Case Network. We have made a commitment to our accrediting bodies that 30% of our subjects will use Harvard and Ivey style case studies by 2021 and 50% by 2022. Our current proportion is just over 20%. We understand that due to Covid, some of your plans to integrate cases have been delayed, but now is the time to start planning for 2021. In Wednesday’s Professional Development workshop, Colette will provide an overview of the case method and its associated benefits and provide guidance on how to get started with case teaching including how to choose an appropriate case for your subject. We will reserve time for Q&A where George, Vishal and other experienced case teachers will be on hand to help answer any questions you might have. This session will be multi-modal, you have the option to either join us in person in the Commercialisation Centre or attend remotely using the Teams link below. Note: This session will contribute to your teaching-related professional development hours for PDR purposes.
