Abstract: This presentation will outline the trials and tribulations that occurred between Dr Moro’s first iteration of custom-developed virtual reality curricula into a medical and science program in 2015, to today’s use of holograms, augmented reality, and virtualised lessons. It hasn’t always worked, and there have been a wealth of frustrations, upsets, bugs, and issues along the way. There have also been some great successes! But, was it all worth it? Dr Moro will discuss the outcomes from his learning across seven years of teaching with (and developing for) immersive and mixed realities, and publishing over a dozen Q1 research papers into its effectiveness.
