Description
Judge and Expert Reviewer – 2025 Games for Change Student ChallengeAdditional information
Served as an expert judge for the 2025 Games for Change (G4C) Student Challenge, reviewing 17 original student-designed digital games across three United Nations SDG-aligned themes: Peaceformers Challenge, Nurture Yourself with Nature, and Outplay Hunger. The G4C Challenge empowers youth through game design to explore pressing social and environmental issues while developing skills in coding, creativity, and systems thinking. My role included evaluating each entry across multiple criteria—gameplay, aesthetics, use of theme, and fun factor—and providing detailed, constructive feedback to support student learning and refinement.
Games reviewed [17]: Collections of Bloom, Rise of the Rot, Ani, Augustus the GarbageMan, Crystalgea, Beyond the Screen, Rations Rush, Monkey Village, Nature Nomad, Save The Forest!, Bird Town, Alien Away, Tomato Soup Kitchen, Collect Wood, People's Voice, The Great and Wonderful Earth, Mindful Meadows.
This judging activity aligns with my research expertise in game-based learning, immersive media for social impact, and the use of digital storytelling to support STEAM education and youth engagement.
